I never did subscribe to retirement. I believe that I will continue working until the day I die, if I am willing and able of course. Dad retired less than 10 years ago, and he has landed numerous jobs. I chuckled at this mainly because we had one of those rare father-son chats, a few weeks upon his retirement, as usual in the car (where we man can seek solace from this turmoiled world … ahaks). I asked whether he was bored with his retirement. He quipped, if you really work during your working years, you won’t want to work after you retire. I thought that was profound, until a few months after, he got a job as GP in a nearby clinic.
Never say never.
